Crapped Out!!

I got stranded the other day. It took awhile to crank in the morning, but eventually it turned over and ran OK. On the way home, well, as I was getting ready to come home, I couldn't get it started. It cranked and cranked, until the battery went dead. (My battery had been weak anyhow, so I figured it just wasn't putting out enough juice). I tried to push start it a few times...no good.

I got a jump off of a car, again, it cranked and cranked, but wouldn't turn over. I would have thought that I would have flooded the engine, but I didn't smell fuel. I'm thinking that I might have that petcock problem. Either that or the vacum line from my carb is shot.

I don't know though...I tried the petcock in every position, with the choke and throttle in every possible position. I have a clear in-line fuel filter, so I know that gas was flowing.

Could it be that my spark plug just stopped firing suddenly? I'll pull that tommorrow and look at it, if it's working I'm not sure where to go next. I've done some carb mods over 1000 miles ago (white spacer out, and rejetted to 155 main). I wouldn't think that they would just suddenly crap out.

Any reccomendations?
